ProteoNova is a privately held Biotechnology company. The Company has developed a novel technology that combines a proprietary random and biased DNA library, accelerated protein evolution, in vitro translation, patented protein-mRNA linker systems, and a unique selection strategy for creating new or optimized proteins. This technology enables one to create novel proteins in days, rather than the months or years necessary with traditional methods. These proteins can be created such that the desired properties are maximized and undesired properties minimized or eliminated, resulting in, for example, therapeutics without negative side effects. The Company plans to utilize this technology to develop new therapeutic agents, including vaccines and diagnostics for the healthcare industry, new or improved industrial enzymes, and diagnostic tests, treatments and vaccines for the livestock industry.
